Centre Will Drive Research in Employability Solutions Across Canada
Toronto, Canada – Today, The Fedcap Group announced that Fedcap Canada and the Institute of Employability Professionals have launched the Centre of Excellence for Employability. This partnership is set to transform the employability landscape across Canada by fostering innovation, engaging stakeholders, and implementing evidence-based practices to create sustainable employment opportunities for jobseekers. The Centre is designed to translate strategic vision into impactful, on-the-ground delivery practices that raise the standard of employability services for funders, policymakers, partners, and stakeholders.
The Centre of Excellence will draw on the global expertise of IEP’s existing Centres of Excellence in the United Kingdom and Australia as well as Fedcap’s Community Impact Policy Institute. By sharing lessons learned, the Canadian Centre will strengthen its ability to develop and implement forward-thinking programs that deliver meaningful results. To support this mission, the Centre will lead research that produces quarterly reports, sharing valuable insights, successes, and lessons learned which will be disseminated to a broad group of stakeholders, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
“The new Centre of Excellence for Employability is a reflection of our commitment to breaking down barriers to employment and empowering individuals to achieve economic well-being,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of The Fedcap Group. “By collaborating with Fedcap’s Community Impact Policy Institute, leveraging global best practices, and engaging with stakeholders, we are confident this initiative will drive systemic change and deliver sustainable outcomes for jobseekers across Canada and beyond.”
“This partnership between IEP and Fedcap Canada underscores the critical link between strategic leadership and practical execution,” said Scott Parkin FIEP, Group CEO of the Institute of Employability Professionals. “The Centre of Excellence will serve as a platform to develop and share solutions that benefit jobseekers, employers, and policymakers, driving continuous improvement across the sector.”
“This Centre is a game-changer for the employability services community,” said Shanthi Rajaratnam, Vice President of Fedcap Canada. “By integrating innovative solutions and data-driven practices, the Centre will address critical challenges and shape the future of employability policy by driving best practices with measurable improvements in employment program outcomes.”
