New York, NY – The Fedcap Group’s Apex Technical School, a flagship institution within its education practice, has been named a recipient of the 2024–2025 Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) School of Excellence Award. Out of 265 schools considered nationwide, only 19 received this year’s designation, placing Apex among the top-performing technical schools in the country.
The School of Excellence Award recognizes institutions that not only meet but exceed rigorous accreditation standards, while demonstrating exceptional student outcomes in graduation and employment rates. Apex Technical School, based in Long Island City, New York, has a long history of preparing students for high-demand technical careers, changing lives and uplifting families across generations.
“This honor reflects the extraordinary commitment of our Apex team and the transformative power of education,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of The Fedcap Group. “At Fedcap, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools to break down barriers to economic well-being. Apex’s recognition as a School of Excellence is a testament to the dedication of its faculty, staff, and students who strive every day to achieve excellence.”
Steve Markowitz, President of Apex Technical School said, “This recognition is not simply about receiving a plaque—it is a profound validation of our mission. At Apex, we pride ourselves on changing lives by equipping students with the skills to build careers and futures. This award belongs to our entire community—our teachers, our staff, our students, and the families who support them. Together, we have created a culture of achievement and resilience that will echo for generations.”
The award will be formally presented at the ACCSC Annual Meeting and Institutional Awards Celebration on September 17, 2025, during the ACCSC Professional Development Conference in Arlington, Virginia.
