New York, NY —Civic Hall – The Bernard Goldstein Center, part of The Fedcap Group, today announced strong results in participation, training, and community engagement, solidifying its role as New York City’s preeminent hub for innovation, workforce development, and digital inclusion and opportunity.
Since its grand opening in November 2023, Civic Hall has welcomed 92,970 visitors to its Bernard Goldstein Center at Union Square—attending 498 total events, 189community gatherings, and 29 job fairs. Across these two years, Civic Hall has engaged 8,535 community event attendees, connected 1,854 job seekers through hiring fairs, and trained 4,461 students, with an impressive 92% graduation rate in 2025—up from 80% the prior year.

Over the past year, Civic Hall has hosted a dynamic slate of programs and events exploring the intersection of technology, design, community impact, and workforce innovation. Highlights include the AI and the Future of Work Summit, which convened industry leaders to discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping employment pathways; Runway of Dreams: Adaptive Fashion Meets Technology, expanding opportunities in accessible design and adaptive fashion; the Green Energy and Workforce Pathways Forum, highlighting emerging careers in sustainability and clean technology; and monthly NY Tech Meetups and hackathons that showcase local startups and civic innovators using technology for public good. Civic Hall has also expanded its international partnerships, hosting signature global events that connect New York City’s innovation ecosystem to leaders around the world.

In addition to convening these programs, Civic Hall continues to broaden training opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment through partnerships with LaGuardia Community College, Stacks + Joules, Coop Careers, Sound + Science, and The Information Lab’s The Data School, among many others—advancing its mission to build a future-ready workforce.

As Civic Hall looks ahead to 2026, it plans to expand its flagship workforce training partnerships, launch new upskilling programs in AI and eSports, and continue connecting learning to meaningful employment across New York City’s fast-changing economy.
