By partnering with nonprofit organizations on high-impact projects, Encore Fellows® make a lasting difference in their communities — all while staying engaged in meaningful, purpose-driven work.

This is a unique opportunity to share your expertise, forge meaningful connections, and contribute to causes that truly matter—while experiencing the deep fulfillment of creating positive social change. Encore Fellows have made a lasting impact across diverse fields, including global development, arts and culture, education, healthcare, community development, the environment, and more.

The Benefits For Encore Fellows®

  • Reframe how you think about “retirement”; it is not always a straight path.
  • Take advantage of a unique opportunity to apply your experience and skills to support critical mission-driven work at nonprofits.
  • Transition to social purpose work and learn about the sector, develop contacts, and discover resources that can lead to meaningful second acts.
  • Encore Fellows receive $25,000 payment for 1000 hours of work, typically part-time for one year.

How It Works

Candidates apply once to enter our talent pool of Encore Fellows. When a potential fit with a nonprofit host organization arises, we will contact you to explore the opportunity. Once matched, you will become a W2 employee and Encore Fellowships manages payroll, taxes, compliance, and benefits.
