Fedcap Acquires the Verdancy Group to Expand its Green Skills Education and Training Programs

New York, NY (June 12, 2025) –  Fedcap has acquired The Verdancy Group—an innovative Scotland-based provider of green skills training. This strategic acquisition strengthens Fedcap’s growing portfolio of clean energy and sustainability programs, expanding access to high-quality green skills training for individuals, educational institutions, and businesses.

Earlier this year, Fedcap launched its first international clean energy training center in the UK, where its inaugural class of solar panel installation graduates is already entering the workforce. The addition of The Verdancy Group builds on that momentum, bringing cutting-edge expertise in sustainability education and customized training in the United Kingdom.

Verdancy’s robust platform offers courses in areas such as introduction to renewable technologies, environmental impact assessments, and energy efficiency and building retrofits. The company is known for tailoring content to meet the unique needs of employers and helping organizations build workforce capacity for a low-carbon economy.

“As demand for sustainability-focused jobs grows, Verdancy’s expertise in green skills curricula and Fedcap’s proven track record in training and job placement create a powerful pathway from education to employment,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of The Fedcap Group. “Together, we’re expanding access to meaningful careers and advancing training opportunities across the clean energy sector—furthering Fedcap’s mission to drive economic mobility and lasting opportunity.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Verdancy Group to Fedcap. Their expertise is a natural complement to our education and workforce initiatives, including our Apex Clean Energy Training Centre in Hampshire,” said Brian Bell, Managing Director of Fedcap UK. “Together, we are well-positioned to meet the rising demand for skilled workers in the clean energy and sustainability sectors—industries critical to long-term environmental and economic resilience.”

“We believe every job has the potential to be a green job,” said Steven Kiakowski, Director of The Verdancy Group. “By combining forces with Fedcap, we can help more employers and communities transition to net zero and build a workforce that’s ready for the future.
