“Stan Litow is one of the most respected thought leaders on education reform, workforce development, and cross-sector collaboration,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of The Fedcap Group. “His groundbreaking work designing P-TECH schools across the United States and globally and his vast experience, especially breaking down barriers in education has improved access and opportunity for hundreds of thousands of students. We are honored to welcome him to the Institute, where his insights will not only inform our work, but help shape the future of education policy nationwide.”

Litow is also a member of the SUNY Board of Trustees, Chair of the Council of Graduate Schools’ Employer Roundtable, and serves on several prominent boards including Roosevelt House and the Albert Shanker Institute. Throughout his career, he has served on multiple presidential and gubernatorial commissions and received numerous awards for community service and leadership.

“As we expand the scope and reach of the Community Impact Policy Institute, Stan Litow’s voice will be a critical asset,” said Dr. Jim Malatras, Director of the Institute. “I know first-hand that Stan’s deep experience at the intersection of public policy, education, and private industry is unmatched, and will help us craft practical, forward-thinking solutions to some of the most urgent challenges our communities face—from building a skilled workforce to modernizing public education.”

Stan Litow said, “I’ve spent my career working to connect education to economic opportunity and to promote civic innovation. The Fedcap Community Impact Policy Institute is doing exactly that—generating policy ideas that matter and then putting them into action. I’m excited to contribute to this important work.”
