Fedcap Celebrates Innovation and Impact at the 2026 BEST Awards in Canada

HAMILTON, Ontario — Fedcap’s Canadian Division hosted the 2026 BEST Awards (Brilliance in Employment Service Transformation), bringing together more than 170 leaders, frontline professionals, service providers, employers, community organizations, and government partners from across the Employment Ontario network, and beyond.
The event highlighted the extraordinary work being undertaken across the Employment Ontario network to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, develop new skills, and achieve long-term economic mobility. Award recipients and nominees represented the breadth and diversity of the sector, from frontline staff and workforce development leaders to community partners and service innovators committed to creating opportunities for jobseekers.
“We are grateful for the strong partnership and leadership of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration ,Training and Skills Development and our many service providers, community partners and employers who share a commitment to helping people achieve meaningful employment,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of Fedcap. “The BEST Awards celebrate what can be accomplished when government, providers, employers, and community organizations work together to create pathways to sustainable employment. The nominees and award recipients exemplify the innovation, excellence, and collaboration that are transforming lives across the province.

Attendees participated in networking and discussions focused on the future of workforce development and employment services. The event also provided an opportunity to celebrate the collective achievements of organizations and indviduals working together to support those seeking meaningful employment and career advancement.
