Silvia Estrada

Director of Workforce
and Criminal Justice

Silvia Estrada is the Director of Criminal Justice Initiatives for Fedcap Inc.’s Workforce Development Practice Area. She currently oversees the Rikers SMART and Jails to Jobs contracts in New York City.

Silvia joined Fedcap in 2016 after a long career in human services working with various disenfranchised populations. She began her career 20 years ago as an entry level Outreach Worker serving individuals with HIV/AIDS. Silvia has had a varied career, including positions as Outreach Worker, Case Manager, Program Director and Managing Director where she has managed projects with multimillion-dollar budgets. In these positions, she has gained expertise in managed care, advocacy programs, HIV/AIDS, homelessness, criminal justice, business development, and community organization.

Prior to her work at Fedcap, Silvia successfully ran the only bilingual Spanish speaking AIDS Adult Day Healthcare program in New York City with Harlem United.

Silvia has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Metropolitan College of New York and a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University.
